INTERNSHIP POSTING – PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN
Rent frock repeat (RfR) is an ecommerce collaborative consumption company where women, from across Canada, can rent designer dresses straight off the fashion runways for up to 90% off the retail price. With over 62,000 members and growing, Rent frock Repeat is looking for Public Relations intern.
Description: Interns will gain training and experience in increasing brand awareness, pitching media, driving internet traffic through social media, creating engaging content, while always following best practices and staying in-line with the RfR brand. You will closely with the Co-Founders, Communications & PR Manager and Social Media Coordinator. While all applicants will be considered, priority will go to students.

Required hours: Tuesdays in office and some work at home.

INTERNS MAY EXPERIENCE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Media monitoring
- Media list updates
- Social media planning and engagement
- Pitching media on behalf of Rent frock Repeat
- Writing media materials
- Research
- Sourcing and ordering materials for projects and misc. administrative tasks
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE THAT WE FIND USEFUL:
- Familiarity with WordPress a strong plus.
- Must be passionate about writing, business, fashion and entrepreneurship.
- A firm grasp on grammar, spelling, and punctuation is vital.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and pitch Communication & PR Manager 3 stories per week
- Create and research key public relations dates and maintain idea and story calendar
- Reach out to potential media contacts via social media
- Assist with public relation pitches
- Source and connect with potential media outlets
MINIMUM SHIFT REQUIREMENTS:
This is a part-time, three month long, unpaid internship which will prepare you with all of the necessary skills to gain meaningful employment in the public relations industry. The internship dates are set from October 2015 – January 2016 with limited flexibility. Will require 2 full days in the Rent frock Repeat showroom.
